About KV

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Batwara, Srinagar, established on 1st February 1967, is one of the most reputed schools in Srinagar. It is administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body setup in 1965, under the Ministry of Education Govt. of India, intending to impart uninterrupted education to the children of transferable Central Government Employees including Defence Personnel all over India and abroad. At present KVS manages nearly 1100 schools which produce excellent results in the CBSE examination as well as in moulding the character of the future generation.
